Dave Jones Every track is good on this album. So hard to select a single favorite. “Smooth pretender” would probably qualify as a radio hit. With talent and a voice like hers, I’d expect there to be more albums by now. I hope this is one of those “quality takes time” deals. Favorite track: Eye Owe You.

ompsaints Really feel the attitude in this. The vocals drew me in and then the guitar kick in to make the whole listening experience fantastic. The last two track are the best! Favorite track: Eye Owe You.

I bought the 12 inch single for Bela Lugosi’s Dead at Fred’s records in St. John’s, Newfoundland in the eighties and it remained a treasured item in my collection until it was lost, left behind, stolen, loaned out, whatever. I accepted that that item was lost to time and likely irreplaceable. Hence my utter shock to see that I will once again hear this evocative masterwork on vinyl along with an extra three tracks. Listening to this a few years on, Chapter 319 feels almost melancholic, a reminder of the time where police abolition had nearly mainstream appeal. The tracks still make me furious at the bullshit cops continue to get away with. dninemfive
